Siriano Show Prep

I was lucky enough to catch a peek of pre-show prep before Christian Siriano’s recent NYFW presentation. Held at Eyebeam, a not-for-profit art and technology center in Chelsea, it was the perfect space for Siriano to make his own.

Without question, my favorite part of the custom design was the opulent chandeliers that hung from the stage’s opening. The rich red curtains added an elegant, regal vibe, further attributing to Siriano’s original inspiration from the Russian Opera.

While the production team perfected last minute touches, models began practicing before the big event. Already beautified but not yet outfitted, their walks looked fierce – just as I’m sure Siriano intended.

Before I left, I checked out the guests lucky enough to be seated front row. Those part of that list included Catt Sadler of E! News, Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller, and Blair Eadie of Atlantic Pacific.

And then there was a line minutes before 4PM; the presentation’s starting time. And the below 30 degree weather. So glad I wasn’t a part of that because it’s really not chic in the first place.
