I decided to live tweet last night to what was likely an audience of no one, simply because I was so excited for this year’s Oscars red carpet. We tuned in at 6PM – wine in our hands – ready to watch stars strut their stuff for what’s always my favorite awards show.

Around 7:30 PM, we made the switch from E! to ABC’s coverage, which was something we should’ve done way earlier in our celebration. The interviews were so much better, and Kristin Chenoweth is 100% more entertaining than Kimora Lee Simmons. But I digress, as most of the gowns were fantastic irregardless of the TV channel.

I’ve already expressed my love for Jessica Chastain, and she has proven me right yet again. The beading on this Armani Prive gown is stunning, and her bold red lip was the perfect accessory.

The actress who played Éponine wowed me in Les Miserables, and the lady herself – Samantha Barks – stunned in Valentino last night. I think the necklace really makes it, though; a House of Waris for Forevermark piece with a 14.67 carat Oval Forevermark Diamond set in 18k Yellow Gold.

Naomi Watts looked like a silver vision from fashion heaven in this gorgeous custom Armani gown. With its intricate cut out, this pick was undeniably original and unique.

I don’t understand how: #1 someone can wear white so well and #2 someone can look that gorgeous with such short hair. Is Charlize Theron an alien? Everything is right with this look, from the pixie cut to her Christian Dior Couture stunner.

Please let me age as gracefully as Sally Field. The Best Supporting Actress nominee was age appropriate and absolutely fantastic in this red Valentino number.
